Class Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy
You can reschedule up to 7 days before your class at no extra charge. Cancellations or changes will result in a 50% loss of deposit.

Important Notes

• No food will be provided due to COVID restrictions.
• Choose in-store pickup to avoid shipping fees.
• Each person must register individually.

Basic Pistol Shooting Course
This 8-hour course covers safety, gun handling, marksmanship, firing positions, and cleaning/storage of handguns. Successful completion earns a Certificate of Completion.

Course Goal
To teach safe pistol ownership and use.

Lessons Include:

1. Pistol Knowledge & Safe Handling
2. Ammunition & Shooting Fundamentals
3. Firing Your First Shots (with cleaning/storage)
4. Two-Handed & One-Handed Shooting Positions
5. Pistol Sports & Activities

Prerequisites
No prior experience or age requirements.

State of Illinois Requirements (8 hours):

• Firearm Safety: 2 hours (classroom)
• Basic Marksmanship: 3 hours (classroom/range)
• Care, Cleaning, & Loading: 3 hours (classroom)

Part II Eligibility
This class must be completed before Part II, unless you have military experience (with DD-214). A valid Certificate of Completion from any instructor is accepted.

Additional Info

• Class may be canceled if fewer than 5 people sign up.
• Class starts promptly at 11 AM.
• Bring your own drinks and snacks. Coffee and limited vending options available. Lunch is on your own.

This class qualifies for Iowa Concealed Carry certification.
